seriously though: this machine is SOLID especially for little stuff like recievers. the only thing is this: harbor freight uses sacial plastic gears in the gear train. you may think UGH CHEAP JUNK! no. the plastic gears prevent you (an asshole) from getting too zelous and damaging the mill. these gears break before the important pieces do.

As a rule of thumb, never, ever climb mill on that machine, no matter how much or how little backlash you have. Climb milling can result in a smoother finish, but requires a very sturdy and rigid machine as well as 0 backlash. Yours is insufficient.
